Ceramic Cannister
Irina Marko is a ceramic artist who incorporates folk art images into her work. While similar to the images on pysanky, her designs are rendered in a more modern style that gives these pieces timeless appeal. These canisters are made with a glaze-on glaze process requiring up to three firings. The design is inscribed into the slip-cast greenware and the base glaze applied. The piece is fired and the second glaze painted on with a tiny brush. The piece is then fired again. All Irina's pieces are unique and all are signed. Lead-free, these can be used for potpourri, storage of dry goods, as vases for dried flower arrangements or displayed as an unique art object. Available in grey or brown, let us choose one for you. 5.25-6" diameter, 5" high.
